Club Maktrix is a community makerspace and creator’s lab in Novato - a place to make things, learn new skills, experiment with ideas, and connect with other creative humans.

Facilities and tools for exploring projects in our fully equipped makerspace. From woodworking and metalcraft, to textiles and jewelry we share tools, skills, and inspiration.

Learn by Doing

Tool trainings, project parties, and peer mentorship. Safety-first approach with experienced makers guiding newcomers through hands-on learning.

Host & Share

Member-led workshops, salons, and show-and-tells. Our community thrives when members share their expertise and passions with fellow makers.

Wood Workshop

Full woodworking setup with hand tools, power tools, and finishing station. Training required for power equipment.

Welding & Metal

Professional welding station with safety equipment. Certification training mandatory before access.

Laser Cutting

Precision laser burner/cutter for detailed projects. Computer-controlled with safety protocols and ventilation.

Fiber Arts

Sewing machines, and textile workspace. Perfect for clothing, upholstery, and creative fiber projects.

Creative Studios

Paint station, jewelry-making bench, and specialized craft supplies for artistic exploration and fine detail work.

Community Spaces

Comfortable lounge for collaboration, movie nights, outdoor area and even a mushroom cultivation lab.

We train for safety, care for tools, and leaving spaces better than we found them.

Liquid Learners Youth Program

Self-directed, project-based learning for young makers. Liquid Learners supports youth in choosing meaningful projects, collaborating with mentors, and building portfolios through hands-on making.

What is Club Maktrix?

Club Maktrix is a community makerspace and creator’s lab for people of all ages who want to make, learn, experiment, share skills, and connect.

Do I need prior maker experience?

Not at all! We welcome beginners. Some tools require safety training before use, which we provide to members.

Can non-members attend events?

Yes, either as a guest of an existing member or by signing up to be a short-term member.

Is Club Maktrix just for kids?

Not at all! Club Maktrix is for creators of all ages- kids, teens, adults, families, artists, tinkerers, entrepreneurs, and anyone curious about making, learning, and bringing ideas to life.

Can I check it out before becoming a regular member?

Absolutely. Come to an open event, workshop, or gathering and get a feel for the space and community.


What is a Private Membership Association?

Club Maktrix operates as a Private Membership Association (PMA), with activities and use of the space offered to members and their invited guests under private agreement.
